Japanese Nori Rolls

Tools:

  • Bread Knife

  • Wood chopping board for serving and aesthetics


Ingredients:


  1. Nori Sheets - 2 No.s

  2. Sticky Rice/Jasmine Rice/Regular Rice

    1. Sticky Rice - 2 cups water for 1 cup rice

    2. Jasmine Rice - 1.5 cups water for 1 cup rice

    3. Regular Rice - 2 cups water for 1 cup rice

  3. Rice Vinegar - 2 tbsp

  4. Light Soy Sauce - 4 tbsp

  5. Egg (Optional)

  6. Dry roasted sesame seeds

  7. Sesame Oil


Dipping Sauce:


  1. Add 4 tbsp light soy sauce, 2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp dry roasted sesame seeds, a teaspoon sesame oil and mix together.


Directions:


  1. Place the nori sheet on wooden chopping board and layer it with a thin layer of vineger mixed with rice. Add a layer of thin layer of omlette on top of it (optional).

  2. Place carrots/cucumber/avacado closer to the edge and roll as shown in the image.

  3. Cut into equal pieces with a sharp bread knife


Grab a chopstick, dip it in the sauce and enjoy!
